LADBS Inspection Sign-Off Soft-Story

Inspector sign-off is not a printed dismiss act. Per Ordinance 183893, the Department files a County Recorder certificate (§91.9306.6) and the design professional (a California civil or structural engineer or architect per §91.9305.1) puts a statement on the approved plans (§91.9310.2).

What does Ordinance 183893 print as close-out?

The ordinance PDF prints two items: a County Recorder certificate filed by the Department (§91.9306.6) and a statement on the approved plans by the engineer or architect (§91.9310.2). §91.9305.1 prints who may prepare the structural analysis: a civil or structural engineer or architect.
